The long awaiting comic based on the folklore stories around Southeast Asia soon to be release in 2009. Dewan bahasa Pustaka (DBP) at the moment is going to publish two of its series "Komik Hikayat DBP" since 2004. It has been delayed for several years but the stand alone, Barongan has been released during the launching of Bulan Bahasa Kebangsaan 2007 in Kuala Terengganu. Barongan, based on one of the characters in Hikayat Shah Mardan as prescribed is about a warrior who turns to be a monster in the story.





BARONGAN comic was published in full colour of 64 pages. The storyline and dialogue is in Bahasa Melayu. The fullcolor will surely arouse the comic collectors. For further information and subscription, please get your copy directly from DBP. The comic is said to be limited print.
